Kahok Families:

First responders from throughout the area will be conducting a scheduled emergency training exercise at the Dorris Intermediate School and Renfro Elementary School buildings after hours on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

During these times, you may notice a significant presence of emergency vehicles, including police, fire and EMS units, in the area.  This is only a training exercise, there is no active emergency.

For the safety of both participants and the public, we ask community members:

• Avoid the area during the training
• Do not approach or interfere with emergency personnel or vehicles
• Refrain from calling 911 to report the activity unless you have a separate, real emergency

These exercises are essential for ensuring our first responders are well-prepared to protect our students and staff in real emergencies. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
